Ulf Barge sent away a hard shot on goal in the 2nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Großensaal's Sirius Plank proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Großensaal from getting a goal against them. Sirius Plank made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Per Stiig Schaluschke in the 17th minute of play. When Julius Wank fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored TSG Salach 1893's protests and gave Julius Wank a yellow card for diving instead. Sirius Plank took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Per Stiig Schaluschke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 34th of the match, Per Stiig Schaluschke tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Sirius Plank got in the way and made a wonderful save. Per Stiig Schaluschke's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sirius Plank read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 36th minute of play. In the 39th match minute, Großensaal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Winfried Olowka to maneuver through the defense. TSG Salach 1893's Kjeld Pletz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 40th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Großensaal. Per Stiig Schaluschke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pascal Wille sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Caspar Kraus struck a weak shot in the 47th minute. Hayden Riegert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Großensaal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Caspar Kraus made a kick off. 54 minutes into the match, TSG Salach 1893's Pascal Wille sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sirius Plank narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pascal Wille in the 59th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sirius Plank prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 60 minutes, Ulf Barge managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Großensaal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulf Barge was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pascal Wille fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sirius Plank having to interfere. If Ulf Barge had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, Großensaal's goal looked a bit too open when Per Stiig Schaluschke came free, but Sirius Plank reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Großensaal's Winfried Olowka got a free kick in the 90th minute. If Per Stiig Schaluschke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sirius Plank took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pascal Wille, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pascal Wille sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
