With an extended leg and a bit of luck Guido Weiss prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience thought a goal was coming when Freddi Kemski got free with Guido Weiss in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 15th minute, Dirk Dürre got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Guido Weiss stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dirk Dürre's shot from short distance in the 19th minute. Dirk Dürre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guido Weiss having to interfere. Uelhof's Guido Weiss proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 22nd minute of the match, managed to save Uelhof from getting a goal against them. 25 minutes into the match, FC Alkis's Dirk Dürre sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guido Weiss narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Sigi Kauder got free with Guido Weiss in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of FC Alkis booed when Uelhof was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dolf Jaskulski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Uelhof's Guido Weiss played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sigi Kauder in the 80th minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC Alkis's Benno Thillmann got a free kick in the 81st minute. The supporters of Uelhof booed when FC Alkis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hüseyin-Kenan Siegler didn't get a good kick on the ball. The FC Alkis manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Uelhof to win.
