Vasili Schelp started the match with the kick off. In the 4th match minute, Elpenrod FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heintje Saussle to maneuver through the defense. The crowd rose to their feet as Elpenrod FC's Vaclav Gül slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Niko Diepmans. That made the score 1-0 after 9 minutes of play. SV 1880 München 1's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Vaclav Gül 13 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. SV 1880 München 1's Niko Diepmans played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vaclav Gül in the 25th minute of play. Federico Daumann showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carsten Derigs, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Vasili Schelp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. SV 1880 München 1's Gerhart Zeiss suffered a sore thigh after 43 minutes and couldn't finish the game. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vaclav Gül made a kick off. Marco Moll kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Vaclav Gül during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Elpenrod FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Vaclav Gül hit a great ball. SV 1880 München 1's Carsten Derigs got a good chance for a goal in the 65th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vaclav Gül fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niko Diepmans having to interfere. Niko Diepmans took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vaclav Gül, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 70 minutes, Vasili Schelp mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SV 1880 München 1 and the Elpenrod FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
