Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) After 3 minutes, Emil Frankfurter mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Westenborken and the 1.FC Magdeburg players grew even worse after the yellow card. Emil Frankfurter hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Arne Cassirer took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Giovanni Bleich. Giovanni Bleich dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Rafael Bochtler charged in rather forcefully in the 10th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rafael Bochtler the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of 1.FC Magdeburg booed when Westenborken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Bochtler didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Westenborken's goalkeeper Giovanni Bleich, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rafael Bochtler kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 26th match minute, Westenborken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Emil Frankfurter to maneuver through the defense. Giovanni Bleich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arne Cassirer in the 29th minute of play. Giovanni Bleich showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arne Cassirer in the 34th minute of the match. When Rafael Bochtler was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 35 minutes had been played. 1.FC Magdeburg were awarded a corner in the 39th minute after Westenborken's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Dennis Sell took the corner. 1.FC Magdeburg's Dennis Sell was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Giovanni Bleich in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Uwe Kind recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 44th minute, Uwe Kind hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arne Cassirer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovanni Bleich having to interfere. 1.FC Magdeburg's Adil Pisula suffered a concussion in the 47th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. In the 48th match minute, Westenborken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermann Riek-Nagy to maneuver through the defense. After the first half 1.FC Magdeburg were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Uwe Kind to make the kick off. The supporters of 1.FC Magdeburg booed when Westenborken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 61 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edmund Burkhardt didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 63rd minute, Uwe Kind hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Edmund Burkhardt was shown his second yellow card after 71 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 72nd minute, Edmund Burkhardt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Uwe Kind had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 79 minutes into the game, one of Westenborken:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Dennis Sell shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. If Mario Clemens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 91 minutes into the game, Uwe Kind cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Giovanni Bleich was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 100th match minute, 1.FC Magdeburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Heinrich Lammers to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched 1.FC Magdeburg eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
