Gunther Neffin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmund Burkhardt in the 8th minute of play. In the 9th match minute, FC ingolstadt 04 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Noel Butscher to maneuver through the defense. Rafael Bochtler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In a very dangerous position, a player in FC ingolstadt 04 fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 17th minute. Penalty! Edmund Burkhardt took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gunther Neffin. Gunther Neffin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Edmund Burkhardt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunther Neffin having to interfere. Emil Frankfurter hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Claudius Kuczinski kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Westenborken's Eckhardt Seckel tried to score from far away in the 40th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmund Burkhardt in the 43rd minute of play forced FC ingolstadt 04's goalkeeper Gunther Neffin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 46 played minutes FC ingolstadt 04 got a freekick which was hit by Claudius Kuczinski.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudius Kuczinski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of FC ingolstadt 04 booed when Westenborken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 51 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Clemens didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 52 played minutes FC ingolstadt 04 got a freekick which was hit by Noel Butscher. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmund Burkhardt in the 56th minute of play forced FC ingolstadt 04's goalkeeper Gunther Neffin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rafael Bochtler got free with Gunther Neffin in the 57th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC ingolstadt 04's Gunther Neffin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmund Burkhardt in the 61st minute of play. Edmund Burkhardt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gunther Neffin having to interfere. Noel Butscher hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. 66 minutes into the match, FC ingolstadt 04's goalkeeper Gunther Neffin had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eckhardt Seckel. With a little luck, FC ingolstadt 04's Gunther Neffin got control of the ball when Rafael Bochtler tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Westenborken's Edmund Burkhardt slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gunther Neffin. That made the score 0-3 after 74 minutes of play. In the 78th minute, Westenborken's Eckhardt Seckel dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. Gunther Neffin was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Edmund Burkhardt showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 81 minute of play. Gunther Neffin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmund Burkhardt, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 92 minutes into the game, Claudius Kuczinski was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC ingolstadt 04's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Westenborken the free kick. In the 94th minute, Edmund Burkhardt got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 96th minute, Rafael Bochtler ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gunther Neffin was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-6. When the match was over Westenborken could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than FC ingolstadt 04 throughout the match.
