Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Tarkan Morenius got the match started through his kick off. Lutz Klump charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Lutz Klump the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 3 played minutes Hückeswagen got a freekick which was hit by Lutz Klump. With a little luck, Hückeswagen's Helmut Bok got control of the ball when Klaus-Dieter Reents tried to sneak it across the goal line. Lasse Kubica's late challenge caught a Hückeswagen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Lasse Kubica helped the player get up and apologised. After 9 played minutes Burger got a freekick which was hit by Lasse Kubica. An unexpectedly hard shot by Götz Faße in the 15th minute of play forced Burger's goalkeeper Dierk Eilers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Götz Faße scored 0-1 in the 18th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dierk Eilers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Hückeswagen's Helmut Bok played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tarkan Morenius in the 22nd minute of play. After 25 minutes, Berthold Thierse mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Burger and the Hückeswagen players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dierk Eilers went to the wrong direction when Manfred Abts was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Dierk Eilers showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Elias Kohlenbrenner, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Klaus-Dieter Reents received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Helmut Bok tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 41st match minute, Burger was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hugo Schabbel to maneuver through the defense. Götz Faße struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Dierk Eilers didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hückeswagen. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Götz Faße made a kick off. Götz Faße received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Dierk Eilers tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Burger's Dierk Eilers proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Burger from getting a goal against them. Hückeswagen's Götz Faße got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Helmut Bok took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tarkan Morenius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elias Kohlenbrenner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dierk Eilers having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Götz Faße in the 70th minute of play forced Burger's goalkeeper Dierk Eilers to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tarkan Morenius in the 75th minute of play forced Hückeswagen's goalkeeper Helmut Bok to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Gerke Breitbücher had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 79 minutes, Tarkan Morenius managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Burger's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tarkan Morenius was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Klaus-Dieter Reents managed to get in a good position for a shot. Burger's supporters rose to their feet, but Klaus-Dieter Reents was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Helmut Bok breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 83rd minute, Tarkan Morenius made a precise shot to the right of Helmut Bok. Hückeswagen's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. If Götz Faße had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute.
