After having played for 3 minutes, Ralph Vossen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Eystrup's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ralph Vossen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to FC Paula getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Christoph Suek hit a great ball. 11 minutes into the match, Eystrup's Hardy Funk broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. If Ralph Vossen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ferdinand Heiduk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Beppo Hartenbach in the 23rd minute of the match. After 24 played minutes FC Paula got a freekick which was hit by Rachid Westermann. Ferdinand Heiduk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ralph Vossen, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Eystrup's Hardy Funk couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 29th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for FC Paula. 39 minutes into the game, Tino Hahn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Paula's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eystrup the free kick. In the 40th match minute, FC Paula was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tino Hahn to maneuver through the defense. In the 41st minute, Rachid Westermann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Eystrup's Ralph Vossen in the 45th minute got a chance for a shot 45th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Paula's goalie prevented a goal. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ralph Vossen stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Leo Stauder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 56th minute, Sven Kreter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eystrup's Andreas Mukengechay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronald Welskop in the 68th minute of play. After 69 minutes of play, FC Paula's Ronald Welskop made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Andreas Mukengechay was left in no man's land by his defense there! The long shot by Claudius Stifter in the 74th minute really tested Ferdinand Heiduk's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 77 played minutes FC Paula got a freekick which was hit by Micha-Alexander Bismarck. Ferdinand Heiduk stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ralph Vossen's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. If Ralph Vossen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 83 minutes into the game, Detlev Schreiber was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Paula's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Eystrup the free kick. The supporters of Eystrup booed when FC Paula was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Detlev Schreiber didn't get a good kick on the ball. Almut Zwerger's late challenge caught a FC Paula's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Almut Zwerger helped the player get up and apologised. In the 92nd minute, Almut Zwerger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. FC Paula had won after a very even match.
