An unexpectedly hard shot by Bertram Breilmann in the 5th minute of play forced hamburger sv's goalkeeper Erhard Mende to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 10 minutes, Georg Herlitizius made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. Gundackersdorf FC's Lennie Hilljegerdes tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Lennie Hilljegerdes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Georg Herlitizius, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lukas Weyerich got free with Erhard Mende in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 23 minutes, Ted Ahrendt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. hamburger sv's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ted Ahrendt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 33rd minute, Georg Herlitizius got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Gundackersdorf FC's Hasso Mögle got a free kick in the 36th minute. Lennie Hilljegerdes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Georg Herlitizius in the 40th minute of the match. Georg Herlitizius fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lennie Hilljegerdes having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bertram Breilmann to make the kick off. An unexpected shot in the 51st minute by Edgar Holler got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Edgar Holler's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Lennie Hilljegerdes skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. When Georg Herlitizius came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the hamburger sv fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Georg Herlitizius couldn't finish the play. 59 minutes into the game, Bertram Breilmann was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gundackersdorf FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave hamburger sv the free kick. Bertram Breilmann hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Georg Herlitizius managed to get in a good position for a shot. hamburger sv's supporters rose to their feet, but Georg Herlitizius was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lennie Hilljegerdes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Georg Herlitizius received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. In the 77th minute, hamburger sv's Edgar Holler dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. 82 minutes into the game, Henrik Parpart was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. hamburger sv's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gundackersdorf FC the free kick. After 82 played minutes hamburger sv got a freekick which was hit by Henrik Parpart. 83 minutes into the match, hamburger sv's goal looked a bit too open when Bertram Breilmann came free, but Erhard Mende reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, Gundackersdorf FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ted Ahrendt came free, but Lennie Hilljegerdes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Hasso Mögle fell near the penalty area in the 88th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gundackersdorf FC's protests and gave Hasso Mögle a yellow card for diving instead. In the 89th minute, Edgar Holler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bertram Breilmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erhard Mende having to interfere. hamburger sv's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
