Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Chris Tiede took the kick off in the first half of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Netze's zone, Addo Heinzmann stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Klaus Kosian came out of the goal and Addo Heinzmann tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Marco Stotz struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Ottmar Kurth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Netze. In the 16th minute, Chris Tiede got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Philip Pohl in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Klaus Kosian saved Netze from getting behind. Philip Pohl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 25th minute Philip Pohl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Klaus Kosian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Philip Pohl in the 30th minute of play forced Netze's goalkeeper Klaus Kosian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Netze's Klaus Kosian got control of the ball when Addo Heinzmann tried to sneak it across the goal line. Addo Heinzmann struck a weak shot in the 37th minute. Klaus Kosian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leverkusen. Klaus Kosian was a little too slow when Philip Pohl got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 1-0. Addo Heinzmann in the 46thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Klaus Kosian, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Addo Heinzmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Klaus Kosian tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Philip Pohl to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Viktor Heller hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Chris Tiede in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ottmar Kurth saved Leverkusen from getting behind. If Addo Heinzmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Leverkusen booed when Netze was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Netze. In the 63rd minute there was a penalty for Leverkusen. Johannes Feld stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Klaus Kosian. 2-0. A collision led to Leverkusen getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Hansi Greeb hit a great ball. Philip Pohl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marco Stotz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ottmar Kurth having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Leverkusen's Hansi Greeb got a free kick in the 79th minute. Hansi Greeb's late challenge caught a Netze's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Hansi Greeb helped the player get up and apologised. After 84 played minutes Leverkusen got a freekick which was hit by Hansi Greeb. Marco Stotz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ottmar Kurth having to interfere. 89 minutes into the game, Christopher Born was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Netze's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Leverkusen the free kick. Christopher Born hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Leverkusen's Johannes Feld couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 89th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Netze. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Philip Pohl managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leverkusen's supporters rose to their feet, but Philip Pohl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Klaus Kosian breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chris Tiede sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marco Stotz scored 2-1 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ottmar Kurth, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. For all the effort they put into the match, the Netze players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Leverkusen.
