An unexpectedly hard shot by Moritz Rahmer in the 12th minute of play forced Niederberg FC's goalkeeper Maxim von Stein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 14 minutes of play, Niederberg FC's Helge Fuchs made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Konrad Juniel was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Bernhard Achtziger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Moritz Rahmer who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 25thth minute tested the skills of Maxim von Stein when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Obbo Weidenauer kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. After 31 minutes, Friedrich Kronig mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Niederberg FC and the VFB Altheim players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of VFB Altheim booed when Niederberg FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Friedrich Kronig didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Helge Fuchs in the 34th minute of play forced VFB Altheim's goalkeeper Konrad Juniel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. VFB Altheim's Gerard Müller quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Detleff Kugler-Wendt, made in the 35th minute of the game. Niko Unterstaller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Maxim von Stein having to interfere. After a rather tough play, VFB Altheim's Rainer Turk got a free kick in the 45th minute. After 46 played minutes Niederberg FC got a freekick which was hit by Helge Fuchs. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Moritz Rahmer was the one to do the kick off. In the 60th minute, Moritz Rahmer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. VFB Altheim's Konrad Juniel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save VFB Altheim from getting a goal against them. In the 68th minute Moritz Rahmer shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Maxim von Stein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moritz Rahmer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Maxim von Stein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Obbo Weidenauer in the 73rd minute of play forced Niederberg FC's goalkeeper Maxim von Stein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frank Käppeler kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the match, VFB Altheim's goalkeeper Konrad Juniel had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bernhard Achtziger. If Bernhard Achtziger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Obbo Weidenauer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Maxim von Stein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 97 minutes, Helge Fuchs took a quick shot and it went in 1-2 without a chance for Konrad Juniel to make any attempt to save it. The VFB Altheim supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Niederberg FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Niederberg FC.
