Nepomuk Kurth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gerrit Clade, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Sprantal's zone, Gerrit Clade stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nepomuk Kurth came out of the goal and Gerrit Clade tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nepomuk Kurth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerrit Clade in the 33rd minute of play. Jakob Suhr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Nepomuk Kurth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 37 minutes into the match, Sprantal's goal looked a bit too open when Gerrit Clade came free, but Nepomuk Kurth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had been going on for 40 minutes, FC Frankfurt Oder's Denis Ganz got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Nepomuk Kurth. A collision led to FC Frankfurt Oder getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Gerrit Clade hit a great ball. Gerrit Clade received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Nepomuk Kurth came out and tried to block the shot, but Gerrit Clade slotted it home off the left post making it 3-0 in the 45th minute.
The wind increased when Botho Kalbitzer made the kick off in the second half. Gerrit Clade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nepomuk Kurth having to interfere. Nepomuk Kurth made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gerrit Clade in the 55th minute of play. In the 65th minute, Botho Kalbitzer got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 68 minutes into the match, Jakob Suhr notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Sprantal's Nepomuk Kurth. Nepomuk Kurth was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
