Detlef Rüsing scored 0-1 in the 4th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Joseph Obladen, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Joseph Obladen came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Josefsthal's Frank Depner. But to his dismay, Frank Depner quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. After having played for 13 minutes, Frank Depner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Josefsthal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frank Depner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 22 minutes into the match, Josefsthal's Wilhelm Miller sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joseph Obladen narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Peter-Michael Labauve had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Josefsthal booed when Hertha BSC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Immanuel Schwerdt didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frank Depner took the ball and in the 29 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joseph Obladen. Wilhelm Miller took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joseph Obladen. Hertha BSC's Joseph Obladen played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frank Depner in the 44th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Frank Depner managed to get in a good position for a shot. Josefsthal's supporters rose to their feet, but Frank Depner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Joseph Obladen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wilhelm Miller, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. With a little luck, Hertha BSC's Joseph Obladen got control of the ball when Frank Depner tried to sneak it across the goal line. Vinzenz Kader succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-6 in the 94th playminute. The Hertha BSC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Josefsthal were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
