In the 6th minute Mustafa Dembowsky shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thorsten Riepe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Sascha Derigs had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 13 minutes, Hugo Glasser managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Badenheim's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hugo Glasser was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Hugo Glasser sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 16 minutes into the match, Sascha Derigs had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Erich Burke. Rethen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sascha Derigs was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Sascha Derigs succeeded in the game's 21st minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Mustafa Dembowsky received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Thorsten Riepe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mustafa Dembowsky was extremely unlucky when he, in the 32nd minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Markus Rabe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thorsten Riepe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 33rd minute of play. In the 36th minute Mustafa Dembowsky shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Thorsten Riepe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dino Zöller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thorsten Riepe having to interfere. In the 39th match minute, Badenheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Steffen Jonas to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mustafa Dembowsky in the 41st minute of play forced Badenheim's goalkeeper Thorsten Riepe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thorsten Riepe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mustafa Dembowsky in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th match minute, Badenheim was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sascha Derigs to maneuver through the defense. Steffen Bongartz's late challenge caught a Rethen's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Steffen Bongartz helped the player get up and apologised.

The wind increased when Mustafa Dembowsky made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute, Sascha Derigs had to leave the field with a concussion. After 56 minutes, Philippe Hauschild mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Rethen and the Badenheim players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 55 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Rethen! The referee gave Badenheim a penalty, 58 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Benjamin Webers, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Rethen's Erich Burke. 0-3. A collision led to Badenheim getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Dennis Riepe hit a great ball. After 64 minutes, Steffen Jonas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Badenheim and the Rethen players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 64th minute, Steffen Jonas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dino Zöller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Thorsten Riepe having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Badenheim's Patrick Goering got a free kick in the 71st minute. Thorsten Riepe showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mustafa Dembowsky, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. Thorsten Riepe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mustafa Dembowsky in the 73rd minute of the match. In the 81st match minute, Rethen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dino Zöller to maneuver through the defense. 93 minutes into the match, Badenheim's goal looked a bit too open when Mustafa Dembowsky came free, but Thorsten Riepe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rethen's Erich Burke proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 99th minute of the match, managed to save Rethen from getting a goal against them. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Badenheim walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
