Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) With a couple of smart ball manuevers Paul Heider in the 5th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erich Burke saved Rethen from getting behind. Paul Heider fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erich Burke having to interfere. 8 minutes into the game, Philippe Hauschild was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Rethen's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Klopp the free kick. Philippe Hauschild kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Jamie Antermann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Erich Burke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Klopp's Jamie Antermann sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Erich Burke narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Erno Thoroe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jamie Antermann received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Erich Burke came out and tried to block the shot, but Jamie Antermann slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 26th minute. If Jamie Antermann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erich Burke didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jamie Antermann went, in the 33rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. If Karl Gensel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 43 minutes into the game, Erno Thoroe was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Klopp's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rethen the free kick. The supporters of Rethen booed when Klopp was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Erno Thoroe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mustafa Dembowsky was the one to do the kick off. Jamie Antermann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Erich Burke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 52 played minutes Rethen got a freekick which was hit by Kevin von Scheliha. When Karl Gensel came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Klopp fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karl Gensel couldn't finish the play. Jamie Antermann might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erich Burke. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jamie Antermann ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ingo Lung in the 58th minute of play forced Rethen's goalkeeper Erich Burke to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erich Burke made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jamie Antermann in the 62nd minute of play. A collision led to Rethen getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Dino Zöller hit a great ball. Jamie Antermann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erich Burke having to interfere. After 67 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Klopp! In the 69th minute, the referee gave Rethen a penalty. Haiko Knabe looked confident and blasted the ball into goal by the left post, totally unstoppable for Marek Frister. After some careless play in the Rethen defense, Jamie Antermann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Erich Burke. The Rethen fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Erich Burke should have stopped the shot. When Kevin von Scheliha fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rethen's protests and gave Kevin von Scheliha a yellow card for diving instead. Rethen's Erich Burke played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jamie Antermann in the 88th minute of play. Erich Burke took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jamie Antermann, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Klopp getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Karl Gensel hit a great ball.
