Finn Pätzold hit a great ball. Erwin Schnarr showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Schorsch Kißling in the 19th minute of the match. The supporters of Fenerbahce SK booed when Taläcker was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Heiko Volz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Heiko Volz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Erwin Schnarr took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Noah Wollscheid, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 29 minutes into the match, Taläcker's goal looked a bit too open when Schorsch Kißling came free, but Erwin Schnarr reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Emre Schabbing received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Erwin Schnarr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erwin Schnarr showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Schorsch Kißling, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. Erwin Schnarr took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Kirchberger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Fenerbahce SK defense, Heiko Volz kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Dieter Seng. The Fenerbahce SK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Dieter Seng should have stopped the shot. After having played for 47 minutes, Heiko Volz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Taläcker's supporters crossed their fingers, but Heiko Volz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Erwin Schnarr was a little too slow when Chris Dött got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 52nd minute. The score was now 1-3. Arndt Klier kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Fenerbahce SK's zone, Heiko Volz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dieter Seng came out of the goal and Heiko Volz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Heiko Volz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andrew Bärenhart charged in rather forcefully in the 75th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrew Bärenhart the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Noah Wollscheid kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. 82 minutes into the game, Arndt Klier was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Taläcker's Erwin Schnarr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Noah Wollscheid in the 90th minute of play. Heiko Volz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dieter Seng having to interfere.
