Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Schorsch Kißling started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Fabian Clopp blasted a shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dieter Seng having to make a save. In the 7th minute, Emre Schabbing reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Patrick Oliver Schütt. The goal made the score 1-0. 10 minutes into the match, Emre Schabbing dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Patrick Oliver Schütt, 2-0. If Tammo Breyer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Xaver Eichwald left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hertha BSC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. In the 23rd minute, Gordon Kratz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Patrick Oliver Schütt was a little too slow when Schorsch Kißling got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 25th minute. The score was now 3-1. Emre Schabbing scored 4-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Patrick Oliver Schütt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Patrick Oliver Schütt made a fantastic save in the 31st minute, when Emre Schabbing sent off a good shot on target. Alfons Kauch kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Gordon Kratz in the 44th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dieter Seng prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Fabian Clopp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The wind increased when Xaver Eichwald made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Gordon Kratz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hertha BSC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gordon Kratz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfons Kauch in the 63rd minute of play forced Fenerbahce SK's goalkeeper Dieter Seng to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 65 minutes had been played when some careless play by Fenerbahce SK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Xaver Eichwald was slow to take the kick. During this time Hertha BSC's players had a chance to rest. Hertha BSC's Xaver Eichwald was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Dieter Seng in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Hertha BSC's Patrick Oliver Schütt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chris Dött in the 68th minute of play. Dieter Seng made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fabian Clopp in the 73rd minute of play. 75 minutes into the match, Fenerbahce SK's goalkeeper Dieter Seng had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gordon Kratz. Xaver Eichwald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dieter Seng having to interfere. Gordon Kratz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fenerbahce SK's Dieter Seng proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Fenerbahce SK from getting a goal against them. Xaver Eichwald fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dieter Seng having to interfere. After 96 played minutes Hertha BSC got a freekick which was hit by Tammo Breyer. Lüder Ostermann struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Patrick Oliver Schütt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fenerbahce SK. When the referee blew the final whistle, Fenerbahce SK could leave the field as winners, despite Hertha BSC having more of the ball for most of the match.
