Match Report

Kleinseelheim
Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0)
The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Göran Sawatzki took the kick off in the first half of the match. If Göran Sawatzki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 10th minute, Domingo Spangenberg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ruprecht Wüllbier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Forusan Buschkamp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Eintracht Frankfurt's Forusan Buschkamp proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Eintracht Frankfurt from getting a goal against them. 22 minutes into the match, Kleinseelheim's goal looked a bit too open when Adalbert Huppertz came free, but Birk Born reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Fabian Svoboda was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 26 minutes had been played. Drees Bünger was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 28th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Eintracht Frankfurt's Adalbert Huppertz in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Kleinseelheim's goalie prevented a goal. Kleinseelheim's Birk Born played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingo Spangenberg in the 42nd minute of play. Ruprecht Wüllbier might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Forusan Buschkamp. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ruprecht Wüllbier ran back to his position shaking his head. When Adalbert Huppertz fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Eintracht Frankfurt's protests and gave Adalbert Huppertz a yellow card for diving instead. In the 46th match minute, Eintracht Frankfurt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Adalbert Huppertz to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Thorsten Krumrei managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kleinseelheim's supporters rose to their feet, but Thorsten Krumrei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Forusan Buschkamp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Adalbert Huppertz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Eintracht Frankfurt's goal looked a bit too open when Thorsten Krumrei came free, but Forusan Buschkamp reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 54th minute Ruprecht Wüllbier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Forusan Buschkamp saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Eintracht Frankfurt's Adalbert Huppertz slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Birk Born. That made the score 0-2 after 55 minutes of play. 61 minutes into the game, Eintracht Frankfurt's Domingo Spangenberg nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Birk Born made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. Eintracht Frankfurt's Forusan Buschkamp played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ruprecht Wüllbier in the 65th minute of play. In the 66th minute, Göran Sawatzki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Birk Born showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adalbert Huppertz in the 69th minute of the match. The supporters of Eintracht Frankfurt booed when Kleinseelheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Göran Sawatzki didn't get a good kick on the ball. Domingo Spangenberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Birk Born tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Domingo Spangenberg sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Birk Born stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Adalbert Huppertz's shot from short distance in the 81st minute. Birk Born didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 85th minute, which inside left pole to 0-5. The audience thought a goal was coming when Domingo Spangenberg got free with Birk Born in the 89th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Birk Born showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adalbert Huppertz, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Thorsten Krumrei charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Thorsten Krumrei the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Eintracht Frankfurt eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
