Leo Krügers kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. In the 13th minute, Fredi Billmann hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Marco Krause received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Benedetto Nauert came out and tried to block the shot, but Marco Krause slotted it home off the left post making it 2-1 in the 18th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Eike Baumeister managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Chelsea Cottbus's supporters rose to their feet, but Eike Baumeister was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ragnar Schlenz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 22nd minute Ingo Morchner shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ragnar Schlenz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ragnar Schlenz came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Chelsea Cottbus's Eike Baumeister. But to his dismay, Eike Baumeister quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Ingo Morchner managed to get in a good position for a shot. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Harald Ratzel made a kick off. Ragnar Schlenz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ingo Morchner in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 57th minute Harald Ratzel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedetto Nauert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nemo Baumgartner hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Marco Krause sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Harald Ratzel in the 64th managed to get into a good position. Ragnar Schlenz came out of the goal and Ingo Morchner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ingo Morchner's late challenge caught a svwerderbremen1899's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ingo Morchner helped the player get up and apologised. Ingo Morchner hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Benedetto Nauert showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marco Krause, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. svwerderbremen1899's Ragnar Schlenz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ingo Morchner in the 87th minute of play. In the 89th minute of the match, Eike Baumeister got a very nice opportunity to score, but Ragnar Schlenz was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Valerius Maurer hit a great freekick 90 minutes into the match. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
