Reinhold Faller showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Apollo Käding in the 7th minute of the match. The supporters of Ohlensehlen booed when Wirmighausen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Prospero Protzel didn't get a good kick on the ball. Julius Strasser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Reinhold Faller tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 14 minutes into the game, one of Wirmighausen:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Ohlensehlen a penalty, 15 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Danko Auerbach, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Wirmighausen's Reinhold Faller. 0-1. Wirmighausen's Reinhold Faller played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Julius Strasser in the 19th minute of play. Donny Reifmann struck a weak shot in the 24th minute. Niels Ritz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wirmighausen. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Kord Bruns in the 35th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Niels Ritz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Donny Reifmann came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Wirmighausen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donny Reifmann couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Julius Strasser was the one to do the kick off.
