Niels Ritz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Otis Waldner in the 33rd minute of the match. A collision led to Ohlensehlen getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Bruno Rau hit a great ball. If Frederik Trede had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 46th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Ohlensehlen's zone, Otis Waldner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Niels Ritz came out of the goal and Otis Waldner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Frederik Trede stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Frederik Trede was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 53rd minute. FSV Frankfurt's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Ohlensehlen's Niels Ritz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Frederik Trede in the 53rd minute of play. Niels Ritz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Frederik Trede, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Otis Waldner fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Niels Ritz having to interfere. Niels Ritz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Frederik Trede in the 63rd minute of play. Otis Waldner who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 65thth minute tested the skills of Niels Ritz when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Benjamin Rohmann sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 72 minutes, Otis Waldner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FSV Frankfurt's supporters crossed their fingers, but Otis Waldner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 77th minute, Otis Waldner fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Niels Ritz, passed just outside the right post. When Apollo Käding came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Ohlensehlen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Apollo Käding couldn't finish the play. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Niels Ritz successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. If Otis Waldner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of FSV Frankfurt booed when Ohlensehlen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 84 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bruno Rau didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Otis Waldner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
