When Manfred Seyler fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Boca Juniors's protests and gave Manfred Seyler a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Dessl booed when Boca Juniors was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manfred Seyler didn't get a good kick on the ball. Johannes-Paul Voßkühler made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Joe Kretschmann sent off a good shot on target. In the 9th minute Anton Bresonik shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kai Tözen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 11th minute, Achaz Satrapa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 14th minute, Achaz Satrapa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dessl's supporters rose to their feet, but Achaz Satrapa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kai Tözen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leo Kärgel's late challenge caught a Dessl's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leo Kärgel helped the player get up and apologised. Leo Kärgel kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Gerd Klöser charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gerd Klöser the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gerd Klöser hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Kai Tözen made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Achaz Satrapa in the 22nd minute of play. The supporters of Boca Juniors booed when Dessl was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomas Mappus didn't get a good kick on the ball. Joe Kretschmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Johannes-Paul Voßkühler having to interfere. Andras Valet kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Lothar Filippek was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 29th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabian Beith during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Boca Juniors getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Fabian Beith hit a great ball. Kai Tözen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anton Bresonik, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. If Achaz Satrapa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Leo Kärgel to strike the kick off in the second half. If Anton Bresonik had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Achaz Satrapa in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kai Tözen saved Boca Juniors from getting behind. Gerd Klöser received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Johannes-Paul Voßkühler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Dessl's Anton Bresonik got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Delron Mattheis kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After some careless play in the Boca Juniors defense, Anton Bresonik kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Kai Tözen. The Boca Juniors fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Kai Tözen should have stopped the shot. Dessl's Achaz Satrapa got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 82 minutes of play, Boca Juniors's Joe Kretschmann made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Johannes-Paul Voßkühler was left in no man's land by his defense there! Achaz Satrapa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dessl's Tomas Mappus got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Dessl players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
