Black White Eagles's supporters crossed their fingers, but Olaf Rohde was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 19th minute, Otto Lenzen hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 20th minute, Olaf Rohde made a precise shot to the right of Andrew Hubig. FC Southampton's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. FC Southampton's Andrew Hubig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Olaf Rohde in the 27th minute of play. The supporters of Black White Eagles booed when FC Southampton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otto Lenzen didn't get a good kick on the ball. Olaf Rohde scored 0-2 in the 34th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andrew Hubig, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Andrew Hubig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olaf Rohde, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. Marko Heil received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Andrew Hubig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Marko Heil in the 48th minute of play forced FC Southampton's goalkeeper Andrew Hubig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The FC Southampton players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Black White Eagles were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Olaf Rohde to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Wolf Godenschwengen left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Black White Eagles's August Eigenfeld played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rigobert Nass in the 77th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olaf Rohde in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Andrew Hubig prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 89 minutes into the match, Black White Eagles's goal looked a bit too open when Rigobert Nass came free, but August Eigenfeld reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 91st minute Olaf Rohde shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Andrew Hubig saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Olaf Rohde in the 97th minute of play forced FC Southampton's goalkeeper Andrew Hubig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Black White Eagles's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
