Daniel Veiser ran back to his position shaking his head. After some fancy dribbling in the 9th minute, Wolfgang Böhland managed to get in a good position for a shot. Otter's supporters rose to their feet, but Wolfgang Böhland was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bosko Kunze breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bosko Kunze showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wolfgang Böhland in the 11th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wolfgang Böhland in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bosko Kunze saved Kuckuck FC from getting behind. 19 minutes into the game, Thilo Rank was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Otter's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Kuckuck FC the free kick. In the 19th match minute, Otter was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Thilo Rank to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute of the match Kuckuck FC got a corner. Otter's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Heino Dazer ran over to the corner to take the kick. In the 28th minute Wolfgang Böhland shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bosko Kunze saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bosko Kunze made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wolfgang Böhland in the 30th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Wolfgang Böhland in the 32nd minute of play forced Kuckuck FC's goalkeeper Bosko Kunze to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 34 minutes, Ruprecht Reuscher mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kuckuck FC and the Otter players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ruprecht Reuscher hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. Marko Bohse could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Paolo Mihm made a huge save. A collision led to Otter getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Daniel Veiser hit a great ball. Otter's Paolo Mihm played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktor Breiter in the 42nd minute of play. If Wolfgang Böhland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Otter's Wolfgang Böhland got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bosko Kunze made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Veiser in the 48th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wolfgang Böhland was the one to do the kick off. Opus Koewius kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. Wolfgang Böhland might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bosko Kunze. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wolfgang Böhland ran back to his position shaking his head. Otter's Wolfgang Böhland got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Opus Koewius hit a great freekick 64 minutes into the match. In the 64th minute, Jonas Schröder sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Kuckuck FC's Bosko Kunze didn't even have to move. Paolo Mihm showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marko Bohse, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Otter's goal looked a bit too open when Viktor Breiter came free, but Paolo Mihm reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Opus Koewius fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kuckuck FC's protests and gave Opus Koewius a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Kuckuck FC's Opus Koewius got a free kick in the 80th minute. Otter's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Jonas Schröder in the 83rd minute. Bosko Kunze showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Wolfgang Böhland, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Wolfgang Böhland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bosko Kunze having to interfere. Otter's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
