Marius Forbrig succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-1 in the 29th playminute. Ekkehard Uphoff could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Will Zehle made a huge save. Gretel Bruhn sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ekkehard Uphoff was the one to do the kick off. Leif Brossart fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horst Borger having to interfere. Max Wünsche hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. SpVg Eicha's Laurenz Vandenhirtz couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Markgrafenheide. After a defensive mix-up in Markgrafenheide's zone, Gretel Bruhn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Horst Borger came out of the goal and Gretel Bruhn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Will Zehle came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Markgrafenheide's Ekkehard Uphoff. But to his dismay, Ekkehard Uphoff quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Santiago Willsch during the 73rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gretel Bruhn in the 75th minute of play forced Markgrafenheide's goalkeeper Horst Borger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ekkehard Uphoff recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 81st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gretel Bruhn in the 85th minute of play forced Markgrafenheide's goalkeeper Horst Borger to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 88 minutes, Ekkehard Uphoff managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Markgrafenheide's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ekkehard Uphoff was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ekkehard Uphoff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Will Zehle tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SpVg Eicha's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
