Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Walter Klukas got the match started through his kick off. Kevin Greth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horst Borger having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Walter Klukas's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Stephan Petig was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Stephan Petig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walter Klukas, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. In the 8th match minute, Rhen FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Karlo Kosian to maneuver through the defense. In the 9th minute, Ekkehard Uphoff made a precise shot to the right of Stephan Petig. Rhen FSV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Rhen FSV were furious when Kort Enkelmann was red carded, 12 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. Kort Enkelmann kicked well hit freekick during the 13th minute of the match. 14 minutes into the match, Rhen FSV's goal looked a bit too open when Arpad Mix came free, but Stephan Petig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 19th minute, Markgrafenheide's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Kevin Greth fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Markgrafenheide's Horst Borger proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 21st minute of the match, managed to save Markgrafenheide from getting a goal against them. If Arno Nikisch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ekkehard Uphoff sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the game, Walter Klukas cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Stephan Petig was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Kevin Greth in the 37thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Horst Borger, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kevin Greth was the one to do the kick off. Horst Borger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kevin Greth, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 55 minutes, Max Wünsche mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Markgrafenheide and the Rhen FSV players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 55 played minutes Markgrafenheide got a freekick which was hit by Max Wünsche. After a defensive mix-up in Rhen FSV's zone, Walter Klukas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Stephan Petig came out of the goal and Walter Klukas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to Rhen FSV getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Arno Nikisch hit a great ball. In the 77th minute Kevin Greth shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horst Borger saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ekkehard Uphoff had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rhen FSV's Kevin Greth got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Wolfram Schuldt's late challenge caught a Markgrafenheide's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Wolfram Schuldt helped the player get up and apologised. In the 88th match minute, Rhen FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wolfram Schuldt to maneuver through the defense. Ekkehard Uphoff received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Stephan Petig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 97 played minutes Walter Klukas rounded Rhen FSV's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Markgrafenheide had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
