The referee ignored Geltow's protests and gave Ingmar Tengstedt a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Geltow getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Ingmar Tengstedt hit a great ball. After having played for 13 minutes, Ariel Jaschke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Geltow's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ariel Jaschke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ingmar Tengstedt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Bester verein Bundesliga's goalkeeper Alain Glemser, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ariel Jaschke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alain Glemser having to interfere. 26 minutes into the game, Steffen Kropp was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bester verein Bundesliga's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Geltow the free kick. After recieving a nice pass, Geltow's Volkmar Durry tried to score from far away in the 28th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, Ariel Jaschke had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alain Glemser. Bester verein Bundesliga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ariel Jaschke was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Hans Wexler struck a weak shot in the 36th minute. Haimo Wild didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bester verein Bundesliga. 40 minutes into the match, Bester verein Bundesliga's goal looked a bit too open when Ariel Jaschke came free, but Alain Glemser reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ariel Jaschke struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Alain Glemser didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Geltow. Steffen Kropp kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Geltow were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hans Wexler to make the kick off. Ingmar Tengstedt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alain Glemser having to interfere. Ariel Jaschke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Steffen Kropp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 66th match minute, Geltow was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vahid Kück to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 80 in the game by Ariel Jaschke from a close distance when the talented Alain Glemser managed to make a qualified save. Bester verein Bundesliga's players were relieved. If Hans Wexler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Dieter Jordan came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Bester verein Bundesliga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dieter Jordan couldn't finish the play. In the 90th minute, Hans Wexler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hans Wexler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Haimo Wild tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Steffen Kropp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Haimo Wild having to interfere. The Bester verein Bundesliga manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Geltow to win.
