Gelb Rot lions's players were relieved. Bollen's Raoul Werner played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ehrhard Hermbusch in the 11th minute of play. Ehrhard Hermbusch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Raoul Werner tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sigmund Schätzle hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Heiko Fischer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dion Häfner in the 21st minute of play. Heiko Fischer came out of the goal in the 29th minute to try and stop a shot by Bollen's Dion Häfner. But to his dismay, Dion Häfner quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 36th minute Dirk Kokott shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raoul Werner saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Pal Gyarmati took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 38th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Heiko Fischer. Gelb Rot lions's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a rather tough play, Gelb Rot lions's Ralf Kamin got a free kick in the 38th minute. In the 41st minute Bollen were awarded a corner. René Leißner went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in René Leißner almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Gelb Rot lions's Heiko Fischer did a great save. Vinzenz Schöne blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Heiko Fischer having to make a save. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dion Häfner stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Raoul Werner breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gelb Rot lions's Dirk Kokott got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd rose to their feet as Dirk Kokott kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Raoul Werner. That made the score 2-1 in the 80 minute of play. 90 minutes into the match, Gelb Rot lions's goal looked a bit too open when Dion Häfner came free, but Heiko Fischer reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ehrhard Hermbusch fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raoul Werner having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bollen had won after a very even match.
