The tension between the Eintracht Frankfurt and the Die Löwen players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 7th match minute, Die Löwen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Helmuth Forst to maneuver through the defense. 10 minutes into the match, Jens Klüting had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Aimo Konschal. Die Löwen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jens Klüting was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Marco Schlebusch scored 0-2 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aimo Konschal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 26th minute Sascha Lichy shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but İlbey Kutsel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romeo Bardhan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aimo Konschal having to interfere. Aimo Konschal came out of the goal in the 33rd minute to try and stop a shot by Eintracht Frankfurt's Ingmar Strebl. But to his dismay, Ingmar Strebl quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Aimo Konschal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens Klüting, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 41 minutes into the match, Jens Klüting notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Die Löwen's Aimo Konschal. Aimo Konschal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. İlbey Kutsel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sascha Lichy in the 46th minute of play. 48 minutes into the game, Eintracht Frankfurt's Albert Kartz nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Aimo Konschal made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-5. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-5 lead.

Aimo Konschal made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Jens Klüting sent off a good shot on target. When Claus Heinrichs fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Die Löwen's protests and gave Claus Heinrichs a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Eintracht Frankfurt booed when Die Löwen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claus Heinrichs didn't get a good kick on the ball. 58 minutes into the match, Die Löwen's goalkeeper Aimo Konschal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jens Klüting. Lorenz Bickelhaupt might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Aimo Konschal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Lorenz Bickelhaupt ran back to his position shaking his head. Romeo Bardhan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Aimo Konschal came out and tried to block the shot, but Romeo Bardhan slotted it home off the left post making it 0-6 in the 74th minute. In the 77th minute, Jens Klüting reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Aimo Konschal. The goal made the score 0-7. İlbey Kutsel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Helmuth Forst, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aimo Konschal was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jens Klüting showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 85 minute of play. The supporters of Eintracht Frankfurt booed when Die Löwen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Albert Glieder didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eintracht Frankfurt's Lorenz Bickelhaupt couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 89th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Die Löwen. Marco Schlebusch sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. The Die Löwen players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
