Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Reinhard Pöhnl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Ingo Goth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Konstantin Hahn in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Arne Kiefert prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Go Go Busters's Antti Götze got a free kick in the 28th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Go Go Busters's zone, Imre Rehbach stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arne Kiefert came out of the goal and Imre Rehbach tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When SSC Südwest 1947 ev.'s Merten Über in the 31st minute got a chance for a shot 31st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Go Go Busters's goalie prevented a goal. Günther Liebing charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Günther Liebing the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 39th match minute, Go Go Busters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Günther Liebing to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th match minute, Go Go Busters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Antti Götze to maneuver through the defense. In the 45th minute, Merten Über got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Merten Über made a kick off. Günther Liebing was shown his second yellow card after 54 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 54 played minutes Go Go Busters got a freekick which was hit by Günther Liebing. Kurt Malborn's late challenge caught a SSC Südwest 1947 ev.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kurt Malborn helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of SSC Südwest 1947 ev. booed when Go Go Busters was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kurt Malborn didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Merten Über managed to get in a good position for a shot. SSC Südwest 1947 ev.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Merten Über was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arne Kiefert breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Imre Rehbach struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Arne Kiefert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SSC Südwest 1947 ev.. If Merten Über had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th match minute, Go Go Busters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dariusz Dietrich to maneuver through the defense. In the last second Arne Kiefert throw himself and got hold of the ball when Merten Über in the 88thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. SSC Südwest 1947 ev.'s players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
