Joachim Mukengechay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Bürger in the 22nd minute of the match. Toralf Russ showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silas Vaerst, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Niklas Riess lost his temper 25 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 25th minute, one of Hertha BSC Berlin:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Hertha BSC Berlin. Felipe Bürger took the ball and in the 30 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joachim Mukengechay. Joachim Mukengechay dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Silas Vaerst made a kick off. Toralf Russ made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lars Metzner in the 53rd minute of play. Joachim Mukengechay yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-5. Niklas Ziolkowski's late challenge caught a Hertha BSC Berlin's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Niklas Ziolkowski helped the player get up and apologised. In the 78th match minute, Heelden FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Niklas Ziolkowski to maneuver through the defense. In the 82nd minute, Robert Neuling made a precise shot to the right of Joachim Mukengechay. Heelden FSV's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-6. The Heelden FSV fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Hertha BSC Berlin were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
