Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Patrick Heiden kicked off to start the match. In the 3rd minute Ty Hasse shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudolf Eck saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ty Hasse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudolf Eck having to interfere. After 5 played minutes Vélez Sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Roland Schui. Ryan Bliska sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vélez Sarsfield's Rudolf Eck played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ty Hasse in the 9th minute of play. After 10 played minutes Vélez Sarsfield got a freekick which was hit by Martin Glöden. In the 21st minute, Patrick Heiden got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rudolf Eck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ryan Bliska, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. In the 31st minute Patrick Heiden shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Don Decruppe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ty Hasse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Bastian Memmert came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the TSV Heimaterde fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bastian Memmert couldn't finish the play. Rudolf Eck showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ty Hasse, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Ty Hasse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ryan Bliska hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Ty Hasse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dieter Korkus's late challenge caught a TSV Heimaterde's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dieter Korkus helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of TSV Heimaterde booed when Vélez Sarsfield was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dieter Korkus didn't get a good kick on the ball. 47 minutes into the match, TSV Heimaterde's Mehmet Ali Döhler broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ty Hasse stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ryan Bliska might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rudolf Eck. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ryan Bliska ran back to his position shaking his head. Dietrich Sieger charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dietrich Sieger the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dietrich Sieger hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Patrick Heiden sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 60 minutes into the game, Jakob Solder was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. TSV Heimaterde's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Vélez Sarsfield the free kick. Jakob Solder kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Patrick Heiden's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Don Decruppe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. 72 minutes into the match, TSV Heimaterde's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Heiden came free, but Don Decruppe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patrick Heiden recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ty Hasse might have been able to make a better finish in the 79th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rudolf Eck. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ty Hasse ran back to his position shaking his head. Bastian Memmert fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudolf Eck having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Vélez Sarsfield's zone, Bastian Memmert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rudolf Eck came out of the goal and Bastian Memmert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ty Hasse in the 83rd minute of play forced Vélez Sarsfield's goalkeeper Rudolf Eck to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 84 minutes, Roland Schui mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vélez Sarsfield and the TSV Heimaterde players grew even worse after the yellow card. Roland Schui kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Ty Hasse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudolf Eck having to interfere. If Dieter Korkus had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
