Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Mats Leyh kicked off to start the match. When Amir Recht came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Lutter fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Amir Recht couldn't finish the play. If Mats Leyh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 7 minutes of play, Lutter's Amir Recht made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rolf Merkmann was left in no man's land by his defense there! Olaf Webers received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Albert Westrich tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Immanuel Böcker could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Albert Westrich made a huge save. Immanuel Böcker was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 22nd minute. VFL Wolfsburg's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. When Amir Recht came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Lutter fans jumped to their feet. Dimitrios Kielholz's late challenge caught a Lutter's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dimitrios Kielholz helped the player get up and apologised. In the 31st match minute, VFL Wolfsburg was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dimitrios Kielholz to maneuver through the defense. Rolf Merkmann showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amir Recht in the 35th minute of the match. After some careless play in the VFL Wolfsburg defense, Mats Leyh kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rolf Merkmann. The VFL Wolfsburg fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rolf Merkmann should have stopped the shot. Mats Leyh might have been able to make a better finish in the 44th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rolf Merkmann. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Mats Leyh ran back to his position shaking his head. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Olaf Webers stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Amir Recht sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dietmar Bleiziffer kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. Albert Westrich stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Olaf Webers's shot from short distance in the 59th minute. After having played for 63 minutes, Nils Weichert managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. VFL Wolfsburg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nils Weichert was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Amir Recht had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had been going on for 74 minutes, Lutter's Marten Krome got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Rolf Merkmann. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Olaf Webers in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Albert Westrich prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mats Leyh in the 84th minute of play forced VFL Wolfsburg's goalkeeper Rolf Merkmann to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albert Westrich showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Immanuel Böcker, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Amir Recht could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Rolf Merkmann made a huge save. Mats Leyh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rolf Merkmann having to interfere. Lutter's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
