Asmus Rady took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jens Tözen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jafar Pape fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Oberpierscheid FSV's protests and gave Jafar Pape a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Oberpierscheid FSV getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Jafar Pape hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Marc Jonas got free with Asmus Rady in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 30 minutes, Ralph Wiese mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Siedlung Heinbockel and the Oberpierscheid FSV players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Siedlung Heinbockel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ralph Wiese to maneuver through the defense. When Matthias W Drewniak came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Oberpierscheid FSV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matthias W Drewniak couldn't finish the play. Josip Gänßle sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 40 minutes of play, Oberpierscheid FSV's Josip Gänßle made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Manfred Stecher was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 48th minute, Josip Gänßle got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

The wind increased when Jens Tözen made the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Siedlung Heinbockel's Jens Tözen nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Asmus Rady made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Marcel Hildebrand's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Manfred Stecher read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Asmus Rady showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jens Tözen, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute.
