Bistrup's Tim Pawelski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Burkhardt Gänßle in the 13th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Eberhard Bäcker in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dietrich Buchholtz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Dietrich Buchholtz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eberhard Bäcker, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eberhard Bäcker in the 31st minute of play forced Dorlar's goalkeeper Dietrich Buchholtz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After having played for 33 minutes, Fulko Bahlke managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dorlar's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fulko Bahlke was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With an all-out effort, Bistrup's Dietrich Buchholtz threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Eberhard Bäcker, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Eberhard Bäcker's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dietrich Buchholtz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. 44 minutes into the match, Bistrup's goal looked a bit too open when Burkhardt Gänßle came free, but Tim Pawelski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Burkhardt Gänßle to make the kick off. Alfred Faßbach fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dietrich Buchholtz having to interfere. When Alfred Faßbach fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bistrup's protests and gave Alfred Faßbach a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Bistrup getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Alfred Faßbach hit a great ball. 66 minutes into the game, Siegfried Lattus cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Tim Pawelski was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 71 played minutes Dorlar got a freekick which was hit by Fulko Bahlke. Siegfried Lattus could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 76th minute of the match, but Tim Pawelski made a huge save. 78 minutes into the match, Dorlar's Burkhardt Gänßle sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tim Pawelski narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Eberhard Bäcker had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Bero Rehm charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bero Rehm the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Bistrup getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Bero Rehm hit a great ball. Siegfried Lattus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tim Pawelski having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Dorlar walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
