Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Giovanni Rosenzweig started the match with the kick off. Mesut Hirtzel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joseph Bertels in the 3rd minute of play. Giovanni Rosenzweig recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 10th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Benedikt Hübner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Johannes Kuhles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Giovanni Rosenzweig fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mesut Hirtzel having to interfere. Mesut Hirtzel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giovanni Rosenzweig, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Giovanni Rosenzweig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Gunter Schröder came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the FC Simon 1978 fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gunter Schröder couldn't finish the play. With a little luck, Ottersbach's Johannes Kuhles got control of the ball when Benedikt Hübner tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to FC Simon 1978 getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Fred Eggeling hit a great ball. Joseph Bertels struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Mesut Hirtzel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ottersbach. Giovanni Rosenzweig took the ball and in the 33 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mesut Hirtzel. Mesut Hirtzel dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. In the 36th minute Giovanni Rosenzweig shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mesut Hirtzel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Giovanni Rosenzweig managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ottersbach's supporters rose to their feet, but Giovanni Rosenzweig was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mesut Hirtzel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The FC Simon 1978 players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ottersbach were winning 0-1.

51 minutes into the match, Ottersbach's goal looked a bit too open when Gunter Schröder came free, but Johannes Kuhles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Gunter Schröder had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benedikt Hübner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joseph Bertels was extremely unlucky when he, in the 65th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. 68 minutes into the match, Ottersbach's goal looked a bit too open when Gunter Schröder came free, but Johannes Kuhles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Benedikt Hübner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Johannes Kuhles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 72 minutes in the game, Giovanni Rosenzweig fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Mesut Hirtzel having to interfere. Giovanni Rosenzweig sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. FC Simon 1978's Mesut Hirtzel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save FC Simon 1978 from getting a goal against them. 87 minutes into the match, Giovanni Rosenzweig notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of FC Simon 1978's Mesut Hirtzel. Mesut Hirtzel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Ottersbach supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ottersbach would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
