Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Rutger Höfer made the kick off which started today's match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lothar Wehners during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 4 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for FC Bensheim! Hein Kalouti went to the wrong direction when Henning Thomale was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Lorscheid FC's Herwig Blunk got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, FC Bensheim's Pitt Strauß got a free kick in the 11th minute. After 17 played minutes, FC Bensheim's Mischa Kohl shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Conni Borgmeier came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in FC Bensheim reached it. Maik Giermann kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Welf Thieringer kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 21stth minute. Though ot was a great shot Lorscheid FC's keeper Conni Borgmeier was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. If Rainer Pohl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rainer Pohl sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 31 minutes into the match, FC Bensheim's goal looked a bit too open when Herwig Blunk came free, but Hein Kalouti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rainer Pohl received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Hein Kalouti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Herwig Blunk in the 36th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hein Kalouti saved FC Bensheim from getting behind. Rainer Pohl might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hein Kalouti. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rainer Pohl ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 45th minute, Rainer Pohl ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Hein Kalouti was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rainer Pohl to strike the kick off in the second half. Mike Freund charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mike Freund the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Lorscheid FC booed when FC Bensheim was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mike Freund didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rainer Pohl recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rainer Pohl in the 68th minute of play forced FC Bensheim's goalkeeper Hein Kalouti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 70 minutes had been played when some careless play by FC Bensheim's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Henning Thomale was slow to take the kick. During this time Lorscheid FC's players had a chance to rest. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Rainer Pohl took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Hein Kalouti to make any attempt to save it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Welf Thieringer in the 78th minute of play forced Lorscheid FC's goalkeeper Conni Borgmeier to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 80 minutes into the match, FC Bensheim's goalkeeper Hein Kalouti had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Herwig Blunk. If Rainer Pohl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mike Freund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95th minute, FC Bensheim's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Herwig Blunk fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post.
