An unexpectedly hard shot by Gunter Selinger in the 21st minute of play forced VFB BAD LAUCHSTÄDT's goalkeeper Norman Ascher to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ingo Natusch stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of BorussiaMönchengladbach booed when VFB BAD LAUCHSTÄDT was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gottfried Kuhni didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gunter Selinger might have been able to make a better finish in the 86th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Norman Ascher. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gunter Selinger ran back to his position shaking his head. Gunter Selinger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norman Ascher having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gunter Selinger got free with Norman Ascher in the 97th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. BorussiaMönchengladbach played a much better game than VFB BAD LAUCHSTÄDT and deserved their victory. The VFB BAD LAUCHSTÄDT players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
