Friedbert Bodenschmidt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kay Grund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With splendid footwork Eros Kaiser arrived in front of goal to shoot 1-0 by the left pole in the game's 42nd minute. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kay Grund to strike the kick off in the second half. Eros Kaiser's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paolo Reininger read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 53rd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kay Grund got free with Friedbert Bodenschmidt in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Friedbert Bodenschmidt made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Kay Grund sent off a good shot on target. If Ismail Gumpfer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. fc enercon's Friedbert Bodenschmidt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 91st minute of the match, managed to save fc enercon from getting a goal against them.
