The fc enercon fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Friedbert Bodenschmidt should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Gero Olowka managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dynamo Lichtenberg's supporters rose to their feet, but Gero Olowka was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Friedbert Bodenschmidt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bruno Ketzer hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute Gero Olowka shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Friedbert Bodenschmidt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience was convinced that Gero Olowka's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Friedbert Bodenschmidt was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. Friedbert Bodenschmidt came out of the goal and Wilfried Füllkrug tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bradley Pomper got free with Walther Wiedenroth-Coulibaly in the 71st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 74 minutes into the match, fc enercon's goal looked a bit too open when Gero Olowka came free, but Friedbert Bodenschmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Walther Wiedenroth-Coulibaly made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eros Kaiser in the 76th minute of play. Wilfried Füllkrug sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 80 minutes into the match, fc enercon's goal looked a bit too open when Gero Olowka came free, but Friedbert Bodenschmidt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Dynamo Lichtenberg fans cheered their team off the field, for while fc enercon had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
