Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Jörn Schütz started the match with the kick off. Gunter Gerster struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Helmut Abschatz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Höxter. 11 minutes into the game, Benno Hähle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.C Wardersee's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Höxter the free kick. Benno Hähle hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute, Gunter Gerster fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 18 minutes into the match, Höxter's goal looked a bit too open when Benno Hähle came free, but Mohamed Kärgel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A wasted opportunity for Höxter. 24 minutes into the game, Günter Trepoll was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. S.C Wardersee's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Höxter the free kick. When Jörn Schütz came up free with the goalie in the 26th minute, the Höxter fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jörn Schütz couldn't finish the play. Emile Scharpe hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benno Hähle in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mohamed Kärgel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. It was a well-played corner which Janosch Debus managed to volley towards the net. Unfortunately, he didn't get a great hit on the ball and it went out into the grandstand. Janosch Debus's late challenge caught a Höxter's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Janosch Debus helped the player get up and apologised. Bernd Dammenmiller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohamed Kärgel having to interfere. If Benno Hähle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. S.C Wardersee's Helmut Abschatz proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save S.C Wardersee from getting a goal against them. Olivier Ebert's late challenge caught a S.C Wardersee's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Olivier Ebert helped the player get up and apologised. 47 minutes into the game, Benno Hähle cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Mohamed Kärgel was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Benno Hähle to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute Gunter Gerster shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Helmut Abschatz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute, Emile Scharpe hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 62nd minute, Jörn Schütz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Höxter fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. When Pär Schiffer fell near the penalty area in the 67th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Höxter's protests and gave Pär Schiffer a yellow card for diving instead. After 67 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Höxter! The goalkeeper, Mohamed Kärgel, was totally fooled by S.C Wardersee's Uwe Koch, who 69 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Helmut Abschatz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jörn Schütz, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. After having played for 75 minutes, Benno Hähle managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. S.C Wardersee's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benno Hähle was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Jörn Schütz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benno Hähle in the 79th minute of play forced Höxter's goalkeeper Mohamed Kärgel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. S.C Wardersee's Benno Hähle got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Michael Portner's late challenge caught a S.C Wardersee's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Michael Portner helped the player get up and apologised. Bernd Dammenmillers short, quick shot in the 84thth minute got Mohamed Kärgel to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Bernd Dammenmiller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 88 played minutes Höxter got a freekick which was hit by Leandro Gottmann. Benno Hähle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Mohamed Kärgel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mohamed Kärgel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bernd Dammenmiller in the 93rd minute. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
