If Artur Brachvogel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 24th match minute, Dörnten was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Oliver Tellers to maneuver through the defense. Fred Göppl charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fred Göppl the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, SC Hakoah's Fred Göppl got a free kick in the 28th minute. After having played for 30 minutes, Morten Stein managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Hakoah's supporters crossed their fingers, but Morten Stein was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SC Hakoah were awarded a corner in the 34th minute after Dörnten's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Fred Göppl took the corner. SC Hakoah's Fred Göppl was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Bruno Kappestein in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Reinhard Knodel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Günther Frowerk fell near the penalty area in the 36th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Hakoah's protests and gave Günther Frowerk a yellow card for diving instead. In the 37th minute, Günther Frowerk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 41 minutes into the match, Dörnten's goal looked a bit too open when Fred Göppl came free, but Bruno Kappestein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fred Göppl struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Bruno Kappestein didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Hakoah. Bruno Kappestein took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Constantin Timmler, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruno Kappestein stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Morten Stein's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Morten Stein to make the kick off. Bruno Kappestein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Morten Stein in the 51st minute of play. After a rather tough play, Dörnten's Tanju Kocaalp got a free kick in the 54th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SC Hakoah's zone, Reinhard Knodel stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Feliu Bachiller came out of the goal and Reinhard Knodel tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 67 minutes, Reinhard Knodel put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Feliu Bachiller. Constantin Timmler received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Bruno Kappestein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Fred Göppl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of SC Hakoah booed when Dörnten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Obereiner didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Dörnten getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Tanju Kocaalp hit a great ball. After 85 played minutes SC Hakoah got a freekick which was hit by Morten Stein. The supporters of SC Hakoah booed when Dörnten was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philipp Blanke didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 97 minutes, Fred Göppl managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Hakoah's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fred Göppl was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Dörnten support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
