The supporters of Bonzelerhammer booed when Klaut Freibier was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Joseph Podlich didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michael Blattner's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Thaddäus Bertram read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Thaddäus Bertram didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sebastian Partsch went, in the 12th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Sebastian Partsch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Thaddäus Bertram tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 18 minutes into the match, Ingo Hebenthal had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Franz Ginsberg. Bonzelerhammer's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ingo Hebenthal was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. Casimir Jakob fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franz Ginsberg having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralek Weidler in the 24th minute of play forced Klaut Freibier's goalkeeper Thaddäus Bertram to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Ralek Weidler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Hartmut Tegtmeyer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Klaut Freibier booed when Bonzelerhammer was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ingo Graumenz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sebastian Partsch to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Sebastian Partsch cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Thaddäus Bertram was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Franz Ginsberg showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ingo Hebenthal, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. If Ralek Weidler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Casimir Jakob in the 66th minute of play forced Bonzelerhammer's goalkeeper Franz Ginsberg to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Klaut Freibier's Thaddäus Bertram got control of the ball when Ralek Weidler tried to sneak it across the goal line.
