Hellmut Balterschütz hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Lou Rockstein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernard Mortler in the 7th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Rolf Scheike took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Lou Rockstein to make any attempt to save it. Rolf Scheike recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 14 minutes into the match, Rolf Scheike notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of FC Würzburger Kickers's Lou Rockstein. Lou Rockstein was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rolf Scheike's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lou Rockstein read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Eggert Bleiziffer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lou Rockstein made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rolf Scheike in the 20th minute. Christoph Große Verspohl made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michael Gunkel in the 24th minute of play. If Rolf Scheike had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Werner Mulack kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. lewy squad's Christoph Große Verspohl played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hellmut Balterschütz in the 29th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Friedrich Broermann during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of FC Würzburger Kickers booed when lewy squad was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Friedrich Broermann didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 34 minutes, Bernard Mortler managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. lewy squad's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernard Mortler was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Lou Rockstein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernard Mortler in the 37th minute of play. After 38 minutes of play, lewy squad's Rolf Scheike made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lou Rockstein was left in no man's land by his defense there! The crowd rose to their feet as Rolf Scheike kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Lou Rockstein. That made the score 4-0 in the 41 minute of play. Rolf Scheike received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Lou Rockstein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Lou Rockstein showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bernard Mortler, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hellmut Balterschütz to strike the kick off in the second half. If Rolf Scheike had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 60 minutes into the match, FC Würzburger Kickers's goal looked a bit too open when Bernard Mortler came free, but Lou Rockstein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rolf Scheike struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Lou Rockstein didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for lewy squad. Rolf Scheike received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Lou Rockstein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Rolf Scheike came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the lewy squad fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rolf Scheike couldn't finish the play. If Bernard Mortler had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 69th minute Rolf Scheike shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lou Rockstein saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Johannes Stickelberger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 72 minutes into the game, lewy squad's Rolf Scheike nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lou Rockstein made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. Claus Nomayo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Christoph Große Verspohl made a huge save. Rolf Scheike sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
