If Ernst Neumaier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zdenko Eggert made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rainald Kraus in the 10th minute of play. Erich Mieth showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dietrich Weinmann, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. 21 minutes into the game, Philipp Ballwanz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bolzplatzhelden Calcio's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Dresselhausen FSV the free kick. Philipp Ballwanz hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Rainald Kraus struck a weak shot in the 33rd minute. Zdenko Eggert didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bolzplatzhelden Calcio. If Ernst Neumaier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Hector Wolter in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erich Mieth prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 47th minute, Philipp Ballwanz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Dietrich Weinmann managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dresselhausen FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Dietrich Weinmann was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erich Mieth breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hector Wolter made a kick off. A collision led to Dresselhausen FSV getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Tobias Bachert hit a great ball. Erich Mieth stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dietrich Weinmann's shot from short distance in the 56th minute. Samson Breitkopf's late challenge caught a Dresselhausen FSV's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Samson Breitkopf helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Dresselhausen FSV booed when Bolzplatzhelden Calcio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Samson Breitkopf didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hector Wolter in the 62nd minute of play forced Bolzplatzhelden Calcio's goalkeeper Erich Mieth to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dietrich Weinmann got free with Erich Mieth in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 76th minute of the match Wolf Gersch shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Zdenko Eggert showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 79th minute Ernst Neumaier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zdenko Eggert saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ernst Neumaier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Zdenko Eggert tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rainald Kraus recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Dresselhausen FSV eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
