Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Felipe Behrendt started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Mittelstendorf's Boris Annilker got a free kick in the 8th minute. Arno Hopke sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Franken's Stephan Wexler got control of the ball when Arno Hopke tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Felipe Behrendt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Stephan Wexler made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Arno Hopke sent off a good shot on target. Felipe Behrendt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Stephan Wexler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Maurice Reimer during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 30th match minute, Franken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maurice Reimer to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Mittelstendorf's zone, August Owomoyela stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustav Schloss came out of the goal and August Owomoyela tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Heinrich Kalinowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Mittelstendorf's Thomas Zwingel got a free kick in the 42nd minute. Maurice Reimer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Heinrich Kalinowski was the one to do the kick off. Franken were furious when Thilo Rauh was red carded, 54 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In a very dangerous position, a player in Franken fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 53rd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Mittelstendorf a penalty, 56 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by David Göbeke, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Franken's Stephan Wexler. 1-0. Felipe Behrendt sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 64th minute Arno Hopke shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stephan Wexler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the game, Felipe Behrendt cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Stephan Wexler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 69th match minute, Franken was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michael Peeters to maneuver through the defense. Mittelstendorf's Felipe Behrendt got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Stephan Wexler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felipe Behrendt in the 79th minute of the match. Stephan Wexler made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Felipe Behrendt in the 83rd minute of play. 87 minutes into the game, Arno Hopke cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Stephan Wexler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After a defensive mix-up in Mittelstendorf's zone, Mike von Holst stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gustav Schloss came out of the goal and Mike von Holst tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gustav Schloss was a little too slow when Heinrich Kalinowski got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 95th minute. The score was now 3-1. Franken's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
