In the 20th minute, Frieder Burger-Heidger reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Achim Borgloh. The goal made the score 1-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Kracke in the 33rd minute of play forced ZFC Turbine's goalkeeper Lasse Batsch to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Emanuel Phillip received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Achim Borgloh tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Borussia Mittelrhein's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Emanuel Phillip scored to the left of an out of position Achim Borgloh, making the score, 2-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Emanuel Phillip was the one to do the kick off. When Reinhard Weiss came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the ZFC Turbine fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reinhard Weiss couldn't finish the play. After 59 minutes, Simon Michaelis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Borussia Mittelrhein and the ZFC Turbine players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Borussia Mittelrhein getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Simon Michaelis hit a great ball. In the 77th minute, David Tegtmeyer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a little luck, ZFC Turbine's Lasse Batsch got control of the ball when David Schabbing tried to sneak it across the goal line. Reinhard Weiss struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Achim Borgloh didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ZFC Turbine. When Bruno Kracke came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Borussia Mittelrhein fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Bruno Kracke couldn't finish the play.
