Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Christoph Hasse got the match started through his kick off. The audience held their breath when Bruce Weixler in the 6th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Franz Indenklef's left hand side. Franz Indenklef showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lenny Rösch, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. In the 15th minute Edgar Andrich shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Franz Indenklef saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vadim Elias took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Franz Indenklef. SV Duisburg's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Christoph Hasse in the 23rd minute of play forced Dörpinghausen's goalkeeper Perikles Raubach to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Franz Indenklef showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lenny Rösch, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Christoph Hasse took the ball and in the 27 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Perikles Raubach. Perikles Raubach dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Franz Indenklef came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Dörpinghausen's Johannes Karger. But to his dismay, Johannes Karger quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. After having played for 34 minutes, Christoph Hasse managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SV Duisburg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Christoph Hasse was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 36 minutes into the game, Christoph Hasse cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Perikles Raubach was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Perikles Raubach took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Slaven Reule, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rigobert Haug got free with Perikles Raubach in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th minute, Lenny Rösch left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dörpinghausen fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lenny Rösch to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, SV Duisburg's Kurt Heintel made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Perikles Raubach was left in no man's land by his defense there! Franz Indenklef made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Bastian Schlierer sent off a good shot on target. SV Duisburg were furious when Patrick Schmidhuber was red carded, 65 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of SV Duisburg:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Dörpinghausen:s goal. Konstantin Birmes hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Balthasar Reifer, 72 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Rigobert Haug struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Perikles Raubach didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SV Duisburg. After a rather tough play, SV Duisburg's Kurt Heintel got a free kick in the 77th minute. Edgar Andrich's late challenge caught a SV Duisburg's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dörpinghausen's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rigobert Haug was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-2. After having played for 99 minutes, Wolffram Schütt managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SV Duisburg's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wolffram Schütt was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. SV Duisburg fully deserved thier win.
