After a rather tough play, Nettershöfe's Lars Eberhard got a free kick in the 8th minute. SV Duisburg's Christoph Hasse got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Hadrian Moratschke managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nettershöfe's supporters rose to their feet, but Hadrian Moratschke was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franz Indenklef breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Arne Grajewski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rigobert Haug, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Arne Grajewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wolffram Schütt in the 27th minute of play. When Henrik Düllings came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Nettershöfe fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Henrik Düllings couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Nettershöfe getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Hadrian Moratschke hit a great ball. Nettershöfe's Arne Grajewski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Christoph Hasse in the 36th minute of play. A sloppy throw-in by Edson Hennemann in the 41st minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by SV Duisburg's Balthasar Reifer. Franz Indenklef showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Henrik Düllings in the 43rd minute of the match. 44 minutes into the match, Henrik Düllings notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of SV Duisburg's Franz Indenklef. Franz Indenklef was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Nettershöfe were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Christoph Hasse made the kick off in the second half. Gideon Thomas made in the 61st minute of the game a quick throw-in and Otmar Rusche immediately put the ball in play. 69 minutes into the match, Nettershöfe's goal looked a bit too open when Christoph Hasse came free, but Arne Grajewski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 72 minutes into the game, Eike Jäger was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nettershöfe's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SV Duisburg the free kick. In the 72nd minute, Eike Jäger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Hadrian Moratschke took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Franz Indenklef to make any attempt to save it. Hadrian Moratschke kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Franz Indenklef made a fantastic save in the 84th minute, when Henrik Düllings sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, SV Duisburg's Christoph Hasse got a free kick in the 85th minute. Hadrian Moratschke fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franz Indenklef having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Ahmed Pradt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Arne Grajewski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Christoph Hasse in the 94th minute of play. Christoph Hasse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
