Sepp Weege tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 9th minute Gerold Feller shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sepp Weege saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 12th match minute, Derndorf FSV was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gernot Stapel to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 15 minutes, Frederik Jäger managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Derndorf FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Frederik Jäger was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Meik Mostert showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Karsten Nietan in the 17th minute of the match. A collision led to Derndorf FSV getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Hugo Brazol hit a great ball. In the 21st minute of the match Massoud Thielemann shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sepp Weege showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Gernot Stapel hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Benno Naehring in the 23rd minute of play forced Derndorf FSV's goalkeeper Sepp Weege to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the match clock showed 27 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Benno Naehring sped through Derndorf FSV's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Sepp Weege. A collision led to Derndorf FSV getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Gernot Stapel hit a great ball. Benno Naehring sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Benno Naehring had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerold Feller fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sepp Weege having to interfere. Sepp Weege made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benno Naehring in the 38th minute of play. Leander Jaksch scored 1-1 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Meik Mostert, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Raphael Fenten charged in rather forcefully in the 48th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Raphael Fenten the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 48 played minutes Derndorf FSV got a freekick which was hit by Raphael Fenten. Alexander Kirschner took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 50th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Sepp Weege. Derndorf FSV's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

The wind increased when Karsten Nietan made the kick off in the second half. Karsten Nietan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 70th minute Benno Naehring shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sepp Weege saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Karsten Nietan in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Meik Mostert saved Schophoven FSV from getting behind. If Gerold Feller had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benno Naehring fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sepp Weege having to interfere. 80 minutes into the match, Derndorf FSV's goalkeeper Sepp Weege had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gerold Feller. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Gerold Feller managed to get in a good position for a shot. Schophoven FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Gerold Feller was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Sepp Weege breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Gerold Feller received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benno Naehring in the 100th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sepp Weege prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
