Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) FC Ecki's Reinhard Schäfer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save FC Ecki from getting a goal against them. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Xabi Brahms in the 11th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alois Schreer saved Gimmigen FSV from getting behind. The audience thought a goal was coming when Reimo Dieling got free with Reinhard Schäfer in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 15th minute Rüdiger Nachtwei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Reinhard Schäfer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 17 minutes, Reimo Dieling managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gimmigen FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reimo Dieling was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Reimo Dieling could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 19th minute of the match, but Reinhard Schäfer made a huge save. After having played for 22 minutes, Rüdiger Nachtwei managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gimmigen FSV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rüdiger Nachtwei was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rüdiger Nachtwei did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Reinhard Schäfer 37 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, Rüdiger Nachtwei managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gimmigen FSV's supporters rose to their feet, but Rüdiger Nachtwei was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Reinhard Schäfer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Xabi Brahms scored 1-1 in the 42nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Alois Schreer, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Alois Schreer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Rösch in the 47th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Xabi Brahms was the one to do the kick off. Gimmigen FSV's Alois Schreer proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 52nd minute of the match, managed to save Gimmigen FSV from getting a goal against them. Felix Schollmeyer kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. The supporters of Gimmigen FSV booed when FC Ecki was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kamil Masuch didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 61 played minutes Gimmigen FSV got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Stracke. The long shot by Virgil Blank in the 62nd minute really tested Alois Schreer's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 63 minutes, Dominik Labauve mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gimmigen FSV and the FC Ecki players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dominik Labauve kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Reimo Dieling's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Reinhard Schäfer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, FC Ecki's Erik Rösch sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alois Schreer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to FC Ecki getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Konrad Koellner hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reimo Dieling in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Reinhard Schäfer prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Erik Rösch received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Alois Schreer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 76 minutes of play, FC Ecki's Erik Rösch made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alois Schreer was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 81st minute, Erik Rösch left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The FC Ecki fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The Gimmigen FSV supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching FC Ecki's performance. The match ended with a win for FC Ecki.
